Ipswich is recreated in LEGO bricks

Adults and children in the UK town of Ipswich came together to build a LEGO recreation of their town.

The BBC has shared a fun video that showcases a LEGO brick model of Ipswich town centre, built by local residents participating in the Big Lego Ipswich Build Week. Over 800 participants used seven million bricks to build the layout, that includes Christchurch Mansion and the Willis office, at Ipswich Art Gallery.

Builders constructed 130 buildings during the week long activity, with a mix of real life inspired landmarks and more imaginative locations. LEGO fan Brian Hewitt used 20,000 bricks to put a replica of Christchurch Mansion together and helped to run the activity.
