Jurassic World Rebirth rips into cinema screens in 2025

The next instalment in Universal’s long-running dino movie series will see Jurassic World Rebirth unleashed worldwide next year.

You can’t keep a good (or bad) dinosaur down for long and that’s certainly true when it comes to Jurassic World. The last of a trilogy of films in the Universal Studio’s saga made its way on to cinema screens back in 2022 in the shape of Jurassic World: Dominion, but now another massive monster movie is heading our way.

Jurassic World Rebirth will be released on July 2, 2025, with director Gareth Edwards on board for the Steven Spielberg-produced sequel, plus original Jurassic Park writer, David Koepp. According to the official plot synopsis, the upcoming “action-packed new chapter sees an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air."

It's also been revealed that Jurassic World Rebirth takes place five years after the events of Dominion, with the planet’s ecology having proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those that remain exist in isolated environments with climates resembling the ones in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere apparently hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to mankind.

A brief announcement trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth confirms the title and release date, with a couple of official images showcasing Scarlett Johansson’s covert operations expert Zora Bennett, Rupert Friend as Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs and Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team leader.

The LEGO Jurassic World theme continues to thrive too, with a number of new sets having been released back in May of this year. In addition, recent rumours suggest that at least nine models based on the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth might be on their way sometime in 2025, but do take that information with a pinch of salt for now.
