Last chance for LEGO Botanical Collection gift-with-purchase

Time is running out to get your hands on the latest LEGO gift-with-purchase, which fits in neatly with the wider Botanical Collection.

40683 Flower Trellis Display is free with all orders above £135 / €150 – it’s already sold out in the US – through April 14 (or while stocks last), after which it will reportedly be replaced by 40684 Fruit Store, the next set in this year’s Shops of the World series. You’ll likely need to part with at least £180 / $200 / €200 to secure that freebie, though.

So if you’ve got your eye on a LEGO purchase that won’t quite reach the threshold required for the rest of April but still want to maximise returns at LEGO.com, now is the time to strike. 40683 Flower Trellis Display includes 440 pieces, making for a pretty substantial freebie, and consists of a trellis with wicker detailing and a bunch of colourful spring blooms.

It’s enough to get you in the mood to do some proper gardening, or just fulfil that desire without the need to have any green fingers at all. But don’t delay: 40683 Flower Trellis Display has already disappeared from LEGO.com in North America, so it could well sell out in the UK and Europe (and other regions) before Sunday. If all else fails, you might find a copy left in store.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
