Last chance to have your build on display in the LEGO House

Time is running out to participate in the worldwide LEGO House DOTS event which will see over 41,000 miniature murals put on display, and anyone can enter.

No matter your proximity to the LEGO House in Denmark, their latest event is open to everyone and anyone and will see your DOTS murals shown off to all visitors, as demonstrated when it was originally announced at LEGO CON. You can get a sneak peek at the build when it first started for yourself at about 36 minutes into the embedded video.

Whilst the digital convention itself is long since over, the LEGO House continued to take fan’s designs to add to their walls, but that too will soon come to a close as the team will only be accepting submissions until August 15. All you need to do to get your entry on display is use the online tool to make your mural and send it via email following instructions on the official website.

Alternatively, those able to visit in person are welcome to use the bricks in the LEGO House to construct their mosaic too, but the global reach of the online method may be preferred for most people.

The full DOTS mural will be unveiled to all by September 3, with construction presumably planned to begin immediately after entries are no longer accepted. With 1,533,576 pieces to install, it may take the team a little longer than LEGO Art 31203 World Map the biggest set at – 11,695 bricks – would to finish.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
