Last few days for LEGO VIP Fleece Blanket GWP

You’ve only got until the end of this week to pick up the first of the LEGO Group’s offers for VIP members in November, 5007622 Fleece Blanket.

Between LEGO VIP Weekend, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s a big month for LEGO bargains – arguably the biggest of the year – and we’re really only just getting started. But if you’re keen to dip your toes into the freebie pool already, the LEGO Group has you covered with its latest VIP-exclusive fleece blanket, a comfy solution to saving on your heating bills this winter.

Free with all orders above £200 / $200 / €200 through November 11, the 100% polyester blanket (so, ABS-free, thankfully) incorporates bright LEGO colours, a minifigure silhouette and a stud motif, so there’s no mistaking where it came from. Guests will fight over who gets to use it, your partner might ‘accidentally’ hide it in that one drawer you never look in, and collectors will finally buy it off you for decent money (based on last year’s blanket).

It’s not a bad freebie all told, especially if you’re after more LEGO-adjacent items in your life, and is much more accessible than last year’s blanket, which was only available on Cyber Monday. You’ll need to spend a decent chunk of cash to pick it up, but it’s not like LEGO.com is short on £200+ sets at the moment…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
