WATCH: The Legend of Zelda projects are banned on LEGO Ideas

Hard luck for those planning to submit a Legend of Zelda project to LEGO Ideas as the license is now banned from the platform.

Don’t grab your pitchfork just yet as we don’t know exactly what this means. Earlier today, November 7, 2022, it was discovered that The Legend of Zelda is no longer an eligible intellectual property on LEGO Ideas, meaning no further projects based on the games can be submitted for a chance to become a real set.

We’ve discussed the topic further in our latest YouTube and TikTok videos, but in short, this could mean that the LEGO Group has plans for The Legend of Zelda and as such, it’s no longer eligible for LEGO Ideas sets according to the platform’s guidelines.

However, it could also mean that Nintendo has decided to pursue The Legend of Zelda construction toys with a rival manufacturer, or simply doesn’t intend to pursue LEGO The Legend of Zelda, both of which could explain the banning of the license on LEGO Ideas.

For now, there’s not much more to go on so keep those pitchforks down until we know more – for all we know, this could be good news, or bad.

In the meantime, there’s plenty of other LEGO videos to watch on our YouTube and TikTok channels and consider subscribing or following us on each to stay up to date with the latest news in future.
