LEGO Botanical Collection 10311 Orchid sells out for the first time

This year’s biggest Botanical Collection set has sold out at LEGO.com for the first time, so you’ll need to turn to alternate sources to spruce up your home with 10311 Orchid.

A mainstay in Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List since it first arrived on shelves in May, the buildable plant has come close to selling out in the UK and Europe once before, a matter of weeks after it first debuted. (It actually did sell out in the US at the time.) But now, some six months later, it’s finally moved to ‘temporarily out of stock’ status at the official online store.

That means you can’t even place an order for 10311 Orchid, and will have to turn to alternative sources if you’re desperate to add it to your collection right now. Thankfully, it’s still available through third-party retailers including John Lewis, Zavvi and Argos, all of which are currently selling the 608-piece set for its regular RRP. Check out our video review below to learn why this is one LEGO set that’s definitely worth full price.

For now, 10311 Orchid’s unavailability at LEGO.com means it also has to come out of our Top 20 LEGO Sets List, where it’s been replaced by 31129 Majestic Tiger. That Creator 3-in-1 model is easily one of the best sets of 2022, and actually comes in at the same price as 10311 Orchid – so if you’re just looking for a build within the same budget, you can’t go wrong with the LEGO Group’s biggest buildable animal.

Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for further updates to 10311 Orchid’s stock levels at LEGO.com in the UK and Europe. The Botanical Collection set is currently on back order in the US, where it will ship by November 19 at the time of writing.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
