LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna officially revealed

LEGO Icons’ contribution to the new multi-theme racing range is a homage to two motorsport legends in 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna.

With seven sets launched or soon to launch across LEGO Icons, Technic, Speed Champions, and City, the LEGO Group is going all in for the world of racing in 2024. Ahead of the LEGO Icons set’s release on March 1, priced at £69.99 / €79.99 / $79.99 for the 693-piece set, here’s a closer look at the detailed model.

10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna brings together one of the most successful Formula 1 cars of all time with the late Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna, who died as the result of a racing accident in 1994. The upcoming set, due for release on March 1, includes a minifigure version of Senna, complete with his recognisable yellow helmet. To go along with the minifigure stand, there’s also a commemorative plaque with a quote from the driver included, reading: “No matter what your dream is, you have to dedicate yourself to it entirely.”

The brick-built version of 1988 McLaren MP4/4 is rendered in white and red, with all the (admittedly stickered) trappings that mark it out as a Formula 1 car. 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna combines both accurate details and realistic functions, such as working steering, rod suspension, an adjustable rear wing, slick tires, and a detailed turbocharged V6 engine. The car has a similar display stand to the one for the Senna minifigure, allowing you to pose your buildable race car at a gravity-defying angle.
