From LEGO City team pairings to the reason we’re getting 18+ Speed Champions sets, designer Daniel Meehan reveals everything you need to know about the LEGO 2025 F1 cars direct from Las Vegas.
Brick Fanatics’ Rachael has had the enviable task of flying out to the US this week for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where the LEGO Group has shown off 20 different F1-themed sets coming our way in 2025. As well as giving us an up-close-and-personal look at all these sets, from Speed Champions and City to Icons and Technic, Rachael had the chance to speak to LEGO Senior Design Manager Dan Meehan about the new sets.
Dan had plenty to share too, from the real reason two of next year’s 10 LEGO Speed Champions sets are branded 18+ (while the rest are 10+) to how the LEGO City team decided which teams to pair up across its January wave. You can check out all that and more by joining Rachael in Las Vegas through the lens of our latest YouTube video.
You’ll be able to get your hands on these LEGO Formula 1 sets in 2025. The City sets drop on January 1, while the Icons, Technic and Speed Champions cars will follow in March. Finally, the Collectible F1 Race Cars will race on to shelves in blind boxes on May 1, rounding out a packed (and expensive) first half of the year for LEGO Formula 1 fans.
