LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons customs are already appearing

Custom builds for the April 2024 LEGO sets are already appearing online, including upgrades for 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale.

As excitement for the latest massive LEGO sets launching tomorrow builds, including 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale and 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City, custom additions for each are already available online. We’ve previously highlighted a miniature and affordable version of 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City designed shortly after its official reveal but some members of the online community seem just as excited for LEGO D&D.

Rebrickable’s listing for 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale currently has three custom models, one of which was submitted days after the set was officially revealed. That model is from Brick Artisan and is designed to fully enclose the back of the model as well as blending in with the overall design. They’ve even added an extra potion to find.

Considering that this model was designed based only on official images of the build, it’s a notable effort and it will be interesting to see what other expansions to 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale surface when the LEGO Ideas set launches tomorrow for LEGO Insiders or April 4 for everyone.

Alternatively, iTavix has modified tow of the included monsters to alter their appearance and functionality. Cinderhowl the red dragon’s head can be changed to feature larger eyes in one of their custom changes to 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, though it keeps the printed tiles that include the original eyes.

Their suggestion for the owlbear drastically changes its shape too, making the figure much larger overall and able to stand on its back legs. These are likely just the start of the custom models for 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, yet they’ve arrived before the set has yet to launch and enthusiasts are able to break down and properly analyse the LEGO Ideas model.

The online community will be able to fully explore 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale starting tomorrow for LEGO Insiders or April 4 widely when the set launches for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
