LEGO joins the 3D billboard craze with LEGO DREAMZzz
The LEGO Group has officially joined in on the 3D billboard craze with the latest original theme – LEGO DREAMZzz – and one of its creatures.
Captured by designer Freddy Charters on Twitter, London’s Piccadilly Circus is now home to a LEGO DREAMZzz billboard with one of the dream creatures bursting out of the screen.
Those who have been on the internet in recent years will recognise this technique as this style of 3D billboard has been frequently used for everything from BMW to Pokémon.

The LEGO Group has experimented with unique advertising via billboards before, but never quite like this apart from a promotion in Melbourne on a flat screen.
With similar billboards located in Tokyo and New York, it will be interesting to see if this or other LEGO DREAMZzz creatures and characters appear in other 3D advertising around the world.
LEGO DREAMZzz’ new sets launch on August 1, 2023, with 11 in total at the time of writing. Before then, an animated series will start on YouTube on May 15, 2023. The range is the latest original theme from the LEGO Group following The Legends of Chima, Nexo Knights and Hidden Side.
