LEGO 40573 Christmas Tree offers two for the price of one (kind of)

Building smart can yield you two Christmas trees for the price of one in LEGO 40573 Christmas Tree.

It’s no secret that the majority of LEGO sets come with a few spare parts, usually for the most delicate or smallest elements. That way, you can repair your sets easily or replace any bricks that might have gotten lost during the build process.

However, there’s another fun challenge you can try with sets that come with a lot of spare parts – as demonstrated below by @MrBenny1979 on Twitter while building 40573 Christmas Tree. Even though the festive build is already two-in-one, with the option to build two smaller trees or one big one, there’s also a way to get two trees even if you build the larger option.

They managed to use all the spare parts to create another, smaller (and adorable) Christmas tree, complete with baubles and its very own star. It looks like it’s about a quarter of the size of the actual model, but is still fairly realistic and just as colourful.

The extra tree is also about the right size to pair with a number of other LEGO Winter Village sets. If you’re looking for some extra festive cheer after building 40573 Christmas Tree, this is a great extra addition to any miniature festive scene.
