LEGO 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books revealed

The Australian online store has revealed a new entry in the line of tribute sets with a minifigure – 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books.

Following 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books last year, the LEGO Group is set to continue the collection of tributes to famous authors with 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books. The Australian online store has revealed the new set via a product listing, but there are no details regarding the required threshold or offer dates for this model.

It’s labelled as a gift-with-purchase, and every other item in the tribute collection has been offered as a gift-with-purchase rather than a LEGO Insiders reward, but we’ll let you know as soon as official details for obtaining this set surface.

For now, we can analyse the images of 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books to see what awaits in the 361-piece set. The model celebrates International Women’s Day (which took place in March) with a recreation of Jane Austen’s home, complete with bookshelf, painting, fireplace, piano and a window with a curtain.

The paintings on the wall are stated to be depicting scenes from the film adaptations of her books, including Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Emma. A Jane Austen minifigure is also included, reusing a torso from 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire.

A nameplate dedicated to the author rounds out the gift-with-purchase, much like the rest of the collection. Only images of 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books have been revealed at the time of writing, and there’s no official confirmation of when and how the set will be offered.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
