LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71039 Marvel Series 2 prices and more images revealed

More images of LEGO 71039 Marvel Series 2 have surfaced online, offering a better look at each of the 12 new Disney+ characters – along with confirmation of the minifigures’ international prices.

The LEGO Group has only published a handful of group shots of the dozen minifigures in 71039 Marvel Series 2 so far, which has made it difficult to determine specific details. New images published by The Minifigure Store have now given us a closer look at Wolverine, Storm, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Moon Knight and the rest of the gang.

Maybe the biggest surprise in these images that wasn’t entirely clear before is that Echo – who briefly appeared in the Hawkeye TV series, and is getting her own spin-off show – has what appears to be a unique prosthetic leg, a detail that surpasses even her dual-moulded arms and all-over printing. We’ve also got a better look at alternate face prints for Beast, Agatha, She-Hulk, and more.

71039 Marvel Series 2 is also now back up on LEGO.com, having initially gone live on the US site before being quickly removed. Its full debut confirms the price of its minifigures will remain consistent with previous series – despite broader price rises across other LEGO themes – at £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99 per character.

You may end up spending more to get your hands on the full set anyway, though, because this is the first series packaged in blind boxes rather than blind bags. That means you can no longer feel your way to a complete dozen, and will have to properly gamble on the contents of each character pack. Good luck: you’re going to need it…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
