The American LEGO online store, for example, doesn’t have the option to pre-order, with ordering beginning on April 1 for LEGO Insiders and April 4 for everyone else. Pre-ordering appears to offer shipping from April 4, meaning LEGO Insiders will still get early access from April 1 in the UK and Europe.

This is an unusual move from the LEGO Group, with most sets that have a LEGO Insiders early access period not going up for pre-orders, keeping the first few sales for LEGO Insiders alone. Seemingly, these pre-orders will mean you’re guaranteed the first few sets to ship from April 1 but the initial wave of products will go to those bought by LEGO Insiders from April 1.
