LEGO Bluey 2025 theme announced

The LEGO Group has announced a new range of Bluey sets is on the way in 2025, adapting the hit kids’ TV show across a series of 4+ and DUPLO products.

Six new LEGO Bluey sets will debut later this year, each inspired by the animated series and its colourful cast of characters. The show originally premiered in Australia in 2018, but has since gone on to become a global phenomenon – to the point that a feature film is currently planned for 2027. The LEGO range will focus squarely on the company’s youngest demographics, across 2+ DUPLO sets and 4+ System sets.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring together the worlds of LEGO Play and Bluey with the team at BBC Studios,” said Michaela Edgerley Stovicek, Head of Preschool at the LEGO Group. “It’s been a long time coming and we believe that this partnership is a match made in heaven for younger builders and families alike. Just like the LEGO brand, the Bluey brand has play at the heart of everything they do.”

Bluey shocked featured

Julie Kekwick, Head of Licensing Hardlines Consumer Products at BBC Studios, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with the LEGO Group for Bluey! We believe that LEGO Bluey products will offer families a fantastic new way to engage with beloved characters and stories from the hit animated series, cultivating even more imaginative play inspired by the Heelers.”

The LEGO Group has not yet revealed any specific LEGO Bluey sets, but it’s safe to assume they’ll include all the show’s main characters: six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy Bluey, her mother Chilli, her father Bandit, and her four-year-old sister Bingo. Neighbour characters such as Golden Retriever Pat and Chow Chow Wendy (along with their respective kids) could also find their way into the mix.

Previous rumours have suggested that we’ll see three 4+ sets, two DUPLO sets and a polybag for LEGO Bluey. You can check out initial details in the table below, but remember that these are not yet outright confirmed by the LEGO Group.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Personally I think it’s a massive shame they aren’t doing anything more than 4+ for this. Many older kids (including mine at 5 and 7) also love Bluey too so I think it’s disappointing that they aren’t doing a 6+ set too.
4+ sets are good starter sets for kids starting on Lego but kids quickly move towards more advanced sets.
