LEGO brick animal trail returns to Castle Espie

The Castle Espie wetlands near Belfast will play host to the LEGO brick animal trail for the second time.

When the LEGO brick animal trail returns to Castle Espie near Belfast, UK, it will have three new animals for visitors to check out. Throughout the wetland centre, 14 massive LEGO models representing different wetland animals will offer a trail for visitors to follow.

Sculptures on display include a large otter, a Hawaiian Goose, a giant Kingfisher, a frog and a flamingo. The three new builds are a white stork, an owl and a water vole. In total, all of the models displayed as part of the trail used 253,728 LEGO elements.

“We are very excited to welcome back these amazing LEGO brick animals to Castle Espie Wetland Centre in March. The giant wetland characters look fantastic, especially the three new additions, our visitors were amazed by them when they were here last time and I think the extended trail will be even more popular this year,” Melissa McGovern, Marketing Manager at Castle Espie told Belfast Live.

LEGO workshops will be taking place to give children the opportunity to get hands-on.
