LEGO BrickHeadz Transformers sets officially revealed

A pair of Transformers will be joining the LEGO BrickHeadz line-up in 2025, with miniature versions of both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

The LEGO Group’s partnership with Hasbro will continue this year, but not in a way that most fans will have been expecting. Following the release of 10302 Optimus Prime in 2022 and 10338 Bumblebee in 2024, the robots in disguise will next roll out as a pair of upcoming LEGO BrickHeadz sets.

Thanks to listings on the official Building Instructions portal, we now have our first look at 40803 Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle and 40804 Bumblebee Robot & Vehicle. The models offer up builds of the Autobot heroes and their respective truck and car, with images and product names suggesting there could be enough pieces in each set to construct and display both together.

Unlike their much larger LEGO Icons Cybertronian cousins, it doesn’t seem as if the LEGO BrickHeadz characters can physically transform into their vehicle forms, so including all of the required elements to make both would seem to have been the obvious solution.

At this stage, it’s hard to tell if 40803 Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle and 40804 Bumblebee Robot & Vehicle feature printed or stickered parts, but we suspect it may be a combination of both.

There’s no word yet on when full listings for 40803 Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle and 40804 Bumblebee Robot & Vehicle will go live, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have international pricing, piece counts and release dates.

In addition to the new LEGO BrickHeadz models, 2025 may also see the debut of yet another brick-built Transformers character. Recent rumours suggest that 10358 Transformers: Soundwave may arrive in August, with 1,502 pieces, but that’s yet to be officially confirmed.
