LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 9 palette out now

The parts palette for the ninth series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program is out now, allowing you to get a head start on the next round.

In the wake of a hugely popular crowdfunding phase for Series 5 and ahead of the same stage for Series 6, the BrickLink team are eager to get started with Series 9 of the BrickLink Designer Program. The specific parts palette for Series 9 is now available in the updated BrickLink Studio software.

These elements are all you are allowed to use in this upcoming series. You can view the full selection by updating BrickLink Studio to the latest version and then selecting the palette from the drop-down menu on the right. Digital Brick Building offers a video guide to assist you, and although it may be for Series 7, the process remains the same.

The timeline for Series 9 of the BrickLink Designer Program dictates that you can start submitting your custom models from September 15, leaving you with a few months to brainstorm ideas for the series and get building.

The submission guidelines for Series 9 have not yet been released, and we’d recommend preparing to adapt accordingly in case any new guidelines are introduced. For now, it can be assumed that you’ll need to avoid existing themes and product collections, only use one of each minifigure head aside from skeletons and more from Series 8.

Next up for the BrickLink Designer Program is the reveal of the final designs for the five sets in Series 6, which should come by September 1 at the latest unless there are any delays.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
