The crowdfunding phase for this series takes place in June 2026, and in the meantime, the models will be reworked to become official models with quality building techniques and decorations.

Here’s exactly what’s to come in the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 8. Click here to see what’s coming or has come as part of every BrickLink Designer Program series so far.

Coconut Cape

Designer: BallisticBricks Pieces: 2,425 Stickers: 0

Coconut Cape will expand on The Thieves of Tortuga from Series 5 with another LEGO Pirates creation, but with a smaller piece count and likely a more affordable price. With one boat, one shark, one fortress and eight minifigures, Coconut Cape comes from the mind of BallisticBricks.

Hot Air Balloon

Designer: ExeSandbox Pieces: 876 Stickers: 0

ExeSandbox is likely to be Series 8’s most affordable model, using under 1,000 pieces to depict a colourful and expertly shaped hot air balloon. One minifigure and a dog accompany the build, as well as a sea of clouds to display the model.

Brick Railroad: Diesel-Electric-Locomotive (A-Unit)

Designer: ThomasRoeder Pieces: 1,428 Stickers: 4

Brick Railroad: Diesel-Electric-Locomotive (A-Unit) by Thomas Roeder is motorisation-ready and will be available to crowdfund next year 1,428 pieces and one minifigure.

University of Science

Designer: KingCreations Pieces: 3,995 Stickers: 7

KingCreations’ massive University of Science has been picked for Series 8 and is sure to be useful for LEGO city builders who need a place to educate their minifigures. The huge structure can split apart and is built on four baseplates (or 64 studs wide and 32 studs deep when connected), representing different areas of science in classrooms inside.

Dustmark Keep

Designer: brickhucker Pieces: 4,000 Stickers: 9

The next LEGO castle coming as part of the BrickLink Designer Program is officially brickhucker’s huge Dustmark Keep, depicting a desert-based fortress that can open up or be folded for a complete castle creation.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Hot Air Balloon is 876 pieces, not 233. The 233 was the total unique parts.
