LEGO Bricktober 2021 sets could be about to make a return

Fresh listings on the LEGO Group’s Product Certification page could suggest the return of previous Bricktober sets.

Four sketched-out listings of fairytale-themed sets, 5007972 Alice in Wonderland, 5007974 Jack and the Beanstalk, 5007975 Red Riding Hood, and 5007973 Hansel and Gretel, have appeared on the Product Certification page. While such listings usually mean a new set is on the way, these four have actually been before, back in 2021 – although not in all markets.

Bricktober is an annual wave of sets that are released in specific markets and usually in a specific store or retail chain. For example, these four fairytale sets were sold exclusively in Toys R Us shops in Asia.

Now, however, the Product Certifications were filed and signed in line with the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011, which apply to UK sales of toys such as LEGO products. This could mean that the four miniature sets could be on their way to coming to the UK market, and perhaps even other markets around the world, such as Europe and North America.

Each set captures a scene from its respective fairytale, such as the castle in the clouds from Jack and the Beanstalk, the candy cottage from Hansel and Gretel, the surprising bed guest from Red Riding Hood, and the tea party from Alice In Wonderland.

Of course, none of this is confirmed until we get official word from the LEGO Group, so please take our speculation with a pinch of salt.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
