LEGO Castle BrickLink Series 4 market add-ons revealed

The fan designer behind one of five sets in the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4 has revealed add-ons to make with a second copy.

The next series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program won’t start crowdfunding until February 2025, but bricks_fan_uy is already eager for enthusiasts to get started. They have shared a series of models that you can make using pieces from a second copy of the set that will add to their Medieval Seaside Market scene.

The models have been shared on Instagram but with no instructions to speak of at the time of writing. All four can be built using only pieces from their Medieval Seaside Market design and they don’t seem to be too complicated. This might suggest that the design is nearly done being finalised ahead of crowdfunding in February.

All three suggested models are compatible with the main set thanks to built-in Technic connection points and should bolster the docks with plenty of different models than the main set offers. The fact that they’ve all been designed by the same fan is a great bonus too.

The alternate builds include a tower for the commander, which has been designed to create a U shape for the market model instead of the L-shaped design it has as standard. A vintner’s office and windmill are also suggested to extend the length of the docks on the right side.

A raft is also suggested as an alternate build, though it won’t fit quite as well with the rest of the set, resembling something from LEGO Pirates rather than LEGO Castle. All four modules can be made using only pieces from the Medieval Seaside Market and presumably, this will be the case for the final design to be crowdfunded too since the final designs for all five sets will be finished by January 1, 2025.

While we wait for February 2025, the next phase of the BrickLink Designer Program is coming soon as five more sets will be revealed next week.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
