LEGO coffee machine that actually fills up a mug – sort of
A LEGO Instagrammer has created a brick-built coffee machine that can actually fill up a mug every morning.
A brick-built coffee machine has appeared on Instagram, complete with a blue-plated water tank and a green and white mug – that looks like it’s actually filling up with coffee. As the camera gets closer, you realise that it’s not actually coffee at all, but a brown inverted disk attached to the machine itself with a brown pole.
Starting off on the base of the brick-built mug, it gradually raises, creating the illusion of a mug filling with fresh coffee. The inner circle of the dish even makes it look as though the coffee is rippling out from the centre.
The creator, Bricktacular Builds, regularly shares similar LEGO videos, showcasing impressive builds or unique creations. In this build, it seems to be powered internally on a loop, ‘filling’ the mug without the creator needing to manually trigger it from the outside.
Although this coffee probably won’t help you to wake up in the morning, it would make for a quirky display piece. Plus, you can test how smart your friends are by seeing how well the illusion works on them before they spot the LEGO trickery.
