The LEGO Group will have a press conference at CES 2026

The LEGO Group’s first press conference has been announced for the technology-centric CES 2026 in just a few days, starting the year with a twist.

CES, the annual trade show organised by the Consumer Technology Association and held in Las Vegas, will see the LEGO Group take a stage for an intriguing press conference later this week, the website has confirmed. These press conferences are usually hosted by technology-focused companies such as Sony and Samsung and it’s unusual to see a toy-first company such as the LEGO Group join the event in such a major way.

The press conference will take place on January 5 at 1pm ET, or approximately 6pm in the UK, and the schedule states that the physical conference is restricted to media only. Whether the conference will be streamed online has not been confirmed. There will also be a physical booth at the event, which any attendant will be able to visit.

It will last approximately 45 minutes, but there are no details teasing the subject of the press conference. Given that this is a technology-focused convention, it seems likely to follow suit. Stay tuned, and we’ll report as soon as we know what the LEGO Group has planned for the future from this event.

In the meantime, don’t forget that dozens of new LEGO sets are now available as of January 1, 2026, but some are already on back order or out of stock.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
