LEGO DC 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile revealed early

A third-party retailer has gone live with images and details of LEGO DC 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile in an early reveal.

Smyths Toys has published a listing of 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile before we’ve even got a reveal from the LEGO Group, seemingly confirming the LEGO Batman set is on the way. The listing states that the set will cost £129.99 in the UK, made up of 1,822 pieces and featuring one minifigure of Batman himself and an information plaque for the display stand.

Inspired by the iconic retro Batmobile from the 1966 TV show, the set itself is (naturally) largely black, with red accents throughout. It’s not yet available to order on Smyths but we’d expect a full reveal confirming the official release date from the LEGO Group soon, as reveals by retailers are usually followed by reveals on the official LEGO store.

The minifigure Batman has a similarly retro look, dressed in light grey and dark blue, with what looks like a brand new helmet print. He’s also holding a bat throwing knife, another signature from the 1966 TV show.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.

I don’t know why both of the classic Batmobiles (this one and 76188) both exclude Robin. Without Robin, it’s incomplete.

Yup – No Boy-Wonder is a big let down. I don’t know how much it costs to develop and create a mini figure but I’m pretty sure I’d have paid the going price.
