LEGO Disney 2023 sets revealed
Four new LEGO Disney sets have appeared online, giving Disney Princess fans plenty to look forward to.
LEGO and Disney have been collaborating for some time now, with numerous releases across the Disney, Star Wars and Marvel themes. JB Spielwaren has just revealed four new Disney LEGO sets, which all take their cues from Disney’s princesses – and, in Moana’s case, the princess-adjacent.
While most of this subject matter isn’t exactly new, we do get our very first Prince Philip minidoll – a win for fans of Sleeping Beauty. The new Moana set also appears to feature Moana’s mother Sina, judging by the hairstyle.
You can see all the new images of the sets below. The site’s release dates suggest they’ll all be available from the start of 2023. However, UK and US prices are not currently available.
43210 Moana’s Catamaran
Price: €34.99 Pieces: 321 Release date: December 31, 2022
This set offers a larger craft than we’re used to getting in LEGO Moana sets, with plenty of space aboard it for minidolls to stand. There’s also an intricately designed new sail element, which should make this a solid addition to any LEGO Disney collection.
43211 Aurora’s Castle
Price: €44.99 Pieces: 187 Release date: December 31, 2022
A set for the younger LEGO fan, 43211 Aurora’s Castle features a simple build with a slide, a dining area and what may be a bed. Maleficent gets a simple but effective throne, and Aurora is finally joined by Prince Philip in a LEGO set.
43214 Rapunzel’s Music Box
Price: €9.99 Pieces: 89 Release date: December 31, 2022
This set features the return of the crystalline skirt element, which can also function as a storage box for Rapunzel’s torso. It seems that turning the key will cause Rapunzel to rotate, although whether music will actually play as she does so is up in the air at this point.
43216 Princesses on a Magical Journey
Price: €64.99 Pieces: 320 Release date: December 31, 2022
The largest set of the four features Cinderella, Jasmine and Rapunzel – each with their own vehicle. There’s also an elephant to interact with, as well as a small water fountain to cool off besides. The hot air balloon and Jasmine’s flying carpet carriage may tempt buyers, even if you have all of these characters already.
With these product listings, we can expect an official LEGO reveal (and more set details) before too long.
