LEGO Editions and Botanicals share first-ever multi-theme set

Today’s Olivia Rodrigo set reveals include the first-ever joint release from the LEGO Editions and Botanicals themes, and we want to see more.

The LEGO Group has officially revealed five sets launching later this year all centred around Grammy-award winning artist Olivia Rodrigo. Included in that line-up is 11507 Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet, a model that will have the unique distinction of being the first-ever crossover between LEGO Editions, LEGO Botanicals and a celebrity.

Unlike the four musically-themed sets due to drop on August 1, 11507 Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet offers up a plant-based build complete with a striking purple flower assembled from multiple purple guitars, floral nods to the artist’s Pilipino heritage and a number of Easter eggs for fans to spot.

Those hidden references include purple and black butterflies, a central symbol from the SOUR era and synonymous with Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 debut album, a well as a honeybee that’s likely a reference to the third song from her third studio record, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.’

That fact that the chart-topping artist will be receiving five LEGO sets all to herself is certainly a testament to Olivia Rodrigo’s popularity and likely to prove a hit with her dedicated fanbase.

However, the fact that she’s also getting her own personalised LEGO Botanicals build as well, albeit one with LEGO Editions packaging, may suggest that the LEGO Group might be casting its net as far and wide as possible in order to capture multiple audiences.

What that might mean for any potential future multi-theme LEGO releases remains an unknown factor at this stage, but this could prove to be an interesting experiment ahead of possible releases in 2027 and beyond.
