LEGO rings in the festive season with Star Wars Holiday Shorts

You know it’s the holiday season when the LEGO Star Wars characters get their festive jumpers out for the Holiday Shorts.

The LEGO Group has released three shorts, showing a number of LEGO Star Wars characters in various festive pursuits, taken from The Mandalorian (Gifting the Grogu), the original trilogies (Droid Holiday Hustle), and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi-Wan’s present for Vader). Each one shows a light-hearted festive take on elements from the Star Wars shows and movies.

Gifting with Grogu, for example, shows Mando and Grogu travelling around Tatooine to give various other characters their Christmas presents. Boba Fett gets a jetpack, Peli Motto gets what looks like a ship part, and the Tusken Raiders get umbrellas and sun hats to protect them from the sun. At the end of the short, Grogu is sad to see that there are no presents left for him – but we’ll let you go and watch the adorable clip for yourself to see how Din Djarin solves the situation.

The other two films focus on R2-D2 and C-3PO in Droid Holiday Hustle, with more cameos featured at the end of the clip, and Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Inquisitors in Obi-Wan’s present for Vader, with Darth Vader himself appearing at the end.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
