LEGO Formula 1 brake boards spotted at Austrian Grand Prix
The Austrian Grand Prix is currently in full effect, with Formula 1 drivers being treated to giant trackside LEGO bricks during laps.
Formula 1 is deep into its 2025 season, with 10 teams battling it out for supremacy on a variety of challenging courses around the world. Fans can currently check out all of the racing action at the Austrian Grand Prix, which runs from June 27 to June 29.
In addition to the thrills and spills of the fast-paced motorsport, drivers will also be in for a special LEGO treat when rocketing through one specific corner. Official Formula 1 social media accounts have confirmed that the track’s Turn 9 brake marker boards have been given a makeover, transforming them into giant LEGO bricks.

Part of a double right-hand corner with Turn 10, Turn 9 was an issue for the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) back in 2023 when 1,200 potential infringements had to be dealt with due to the extremity of those sections of the track.
However, the usable kerb area of the Austrian Grand Prix course was reduced with painted lines and a gravel strip last year, with the LEGO Turn 9 brake boards now being added to draw even more attention to that section of the tricky track.

There’s no word yet if the custom LEGO brake marker boards will be at the British Grand Prix from July 4 to July 6, but UK fans can always check out all of the Formula 1 action at the LEGO Store Battersea family watch party on July 6 from 10am, with the race being shown on big screens and life-sized LEGO F1 cars from the recent Miami GP in attendance.

In addition, those who pop into select LEGO Stores located at Battersea, Leicester Square, Milton Keynes and the Trafford Centre can also pick up a free LEGO F1 Steering Wheel make and take on July 5 from 10am to 12pm and on July 6 from 12pm to 2pm, while stocks last.
