LEGO Fortnite Brick or Treat update brings split screen and Halloween rewards

LEGO Fortnite is about to bring out a spooky Halloween update, bringing with it the family-friendly split-screen mode just in time for the holidays.

Halloween is coming up and from there it’ll be Thanksgiving and the holiday season before you know it. That means plenty of time with family and friends, meaning LEGO Fortnite’s new split-screen mode will come in very useful, launching on October 11.

Players will now be able to share their LEGO Fortnite experience with a family member or friend using the new mode. Together in split-screen mode, two players can explore the world of LEGO Fortnite and build villages together while playing on the same PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S console, from the same room.

In the same update, LEGO Fortnite is also bringing out the Brick or Treat LEGO Pass on Friday, October 11, in time for the Halloween season. Players can unlock in-game rewards and make the creepiest creation of their dreams come true with ten Decor Bundles that can be earned via the free reward track. Players can also unlock in-game rewards from the purchasable Premium Reward Track.

Lasting 60 days (until December 10), you can complete Quests to earn Studs and progress further in the LEGO Pass, unlocking in-game rewards from the free reward track as you go. If you choose to, you can also unlock in-game rewards from the purchasable Premium Reward Track. Players will find ten Decor Bundles in the free reward track, as well as The Dump on Old Durrr Drive Build as the final reward.

If you upgrade to the Premium Reward Track, you’ll also instantly unlock the Andy Fangerson Outfit, a cartoonish beast with huge grinning fangs that give him his name.

LEGO Fortnite is also following in the LEGO Group’s footsteps by incorporating the Nightmare Before Christmas into the game with the Halloween Town Hall Bundle. It will be available for 1,800 V-Bucks and includes a Build and 3 Decor Bundles:

  • Halloween Town Hall Build (Available for 1,000 V-Bucks individually)
  • Halloween Town Library Decor Bundle (Available for 600 V-Bucks individually)
  • Halloween Town Home Decor Bundle (Available for 500 V-Bucks individually)
  • Halloween Town Meeting Decor Bundle (Available for 400 V-Bucks individually)

Last but not least, to get into the Halloween spirit, there are also two new Styles in the LEGO Fortnite Shop:  Sally and Pumpkin King Outfits.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
