LEGO Fortnite’s next update might explain 77073 Battle Bus
The team behind the digital LEGO Fortnite mode are teasing a new update, and it might help explain 77073 Battle Bus‘s upcoming release.
LEGO Fortnite is becoming a full theme based on the in-game modes within LEGO Fortnite, but primarily focusing on the survival-crafting LEGO Fortnite mode. That said, two sets stand out for featuring vehicles and items that don’t appear within the LEGO Fortnite mode.
These include the 18+ 77072 Peely Bone with its pickaxe, Back Bling and Paint Launcher, none of which can be used within LEGO Fortnite LEGO Islands, as well as 77073 Battle Bus – a vehicle that mostly appears in Battle Royale aside from one recent LEGO Island.
Arguably, the presence of a Battle Bus in the Titled Towers Tycoon LEGO Island could be reason enough for 77073 Battle Bus to not be considered a Battle-Royale-inspired set and now the LEGO Fortnite team may be about to make that even clearer.
A new teaser for the next LEGO Fortnite update hints that fast travel could be coming to the mode soon with a structure featuring equipment in a colour scheme similar to that of the Battle Bus. A small sign next to the stand even features a silhouette of a Battle Bus though not with the exact same design as the LEGO set.
It could be that this is a new fast-travel system to help players traverse their custom worlds easier that will be explained with an animation featuring 77073 Battle Bus, making it a distinct LEGO Fortnite set that just so happens to tie into the Battle Royale mode.
As well as the timing of this teaser so close to the announcement of the LEGO Fortnite sets, we’d also point out that almost all of the characters in the teaser are included in 77073 Battle Bus. This is aside from the Chapter 1 default outfit, which might be represented by the Battalion Brawler minifigure in the Battle Bus set.
We’ll have to see what follows this teaser in the coming weeks ahead of the next LEGO Fortnite update. While we wait, you can pre-order the four LEGO Fortnite sets now before they launch on October 1.
