LEGO Harry Potter 2025 set points out problem in Star Wars model

A new LEGO Harry Potter build has called attention to stickers in a Star Wars: Ahsoka set, providing an opportunity to explain internal processes.

The new £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club has intricate printed elements and no stickers while last year's only included stickers for its floor tiles at £49.99 / $54.99 / €54.99, which would have only needed a simple yellow line through the middle of them.

It's something that we highlighted in our review of the Ahsoka set and makes the building experience somewhat annoying for needing to line up those curved stickers perfectly, which is a challenge that could have been avoided with a single new print.

Meanwhile, as discussed in our review of the new Harry Potter model, the intricate printed floor tiles are appreciated, especially in a smaller set in which it would not have been as challenging to align stickers. While this might be seen as the LEGO Star Wars team not putting the effort or time in, that's simply not the case.

Each design team in the LEGO Group have a limited number of slots for new parts, part colours and prints for the entire theme over a set period, and not per set as you might initially expect. For Star Wars, this means that the printed piece slots are simply used elsewhere and sacrifices have to be made, such as in 75385 Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea.

It's an unfortunate outcome of Star Wars being a bigger theme compared to LEGO Harry Potter but helps to explain why the smaller 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club has such intricate printed elements whereas 75385 Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea's simple yellow lines are left as stickers.

You can pick up 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club and those detailed printed elements now and 75385 Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea is still available following its launch late last year.
