LEGO Harry Potter 76417 Gringotts connected to new GWP

Connecting LEGO Harry Potter 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition to 40598 Gringotts Vault seems to be simple, but effective.

40598 Gringotts Vault is designed to expand on 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition but its listing has not revealed the full extent of what the two models look like combined. Thankfully, we know where it slots in. With some editing and a bit of imagination, here’s what you can expect from the pair of Wizarding World models.

The images of 40598 Gringotts Vault revealed at the time of writing don’t line up perfectly with any of 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition but it’s clone enough to give you an idea of what to expect. The vault widens the model at its base and you may need to adjust your plans to display it accordingly. The buffer at the end of the track in 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition should be able to fit on the end of the GWP, leaving nothing spare.

This extension offers more room on the track, though whether the cart will have enough momentum to reach the GWP vault without being pushed has yet to be seen. Compared to the other vaults in 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition, 40598 Gringotts Vault has a surprise too – it can be used as a piggy bank.

76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition is available from September 1 for LEGO Insiders or September 4 for everyone for £369.99 / $429.99 / €429.99. We’re not sure when 40598 Gringotts Vault is going to be given away though the upcoming Back to Hogwarts event at the start of September may be a good bet.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
