LEGO Horizon Adventures may not be a long experience
LEGO Horizon Adventures’ reported length may not be as long as expected, especially compared to other PlayStation platformers.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is available to pre-order now for £59.99 or £69.99 for the deluxe edition ahead of its release on November 14, 2024. With that information in mind, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson now claims to know the length of the game after being one of the first sources to report on the title before its reveal.
According to Henderson, the story takes around six hours to complete with around 15 needed to platinum the game (complete all content and earn all achievements). Compared to previous first party level-based PlayStation platformers, that’s somewhat short.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure takes around 11 hours for the story and 34 for the platinum while even Astro Bot takes 11 hours for its story and around 17 for the platinum according to How Long to Beat and our personal experience. Comparatively, LEGO Horizon Adventures’ story is short based on this claim but is fairly close to Astro Bot’s platinum.
Horizon Zero Dawn’s story, which the new LEGO game adapts, takes over 29 hours, but it’s not surprising to see that the level-based LEGO game is much shorter than the open-world experience. The two were almost certainly never going to be comparable.
We’ll have to see if Henderson’s claim proves accurate and we’d advise treating it as a rumour for now. Thankfully, there’s not long left before the game launches on November 14 and we’ll find out for ourselves exactly how long the game takes to complete.
