LEGO Ideas 21336 The Office officially revealed

It’s happening: the LEGO Group has officially unveiled 21336 The Office, and it comes with almost every character you’d expect.

That’s 15 minifigures in total, comprising (deep breath): Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, Ryan, Angela, Oscar, Kevin, Stanley, Kelly, Phyllis, Meredith, Creed, Toby and Darryl. (Sorry, Andy.) Inspired by fan designer Jaijai Lewis’s submission, 21336 The Office – only the latest in a string of sitcom-based LEGO sets – weighs in at 1,164 pieces for £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99.

The final model looks remarkably close to Lewis’s original design, too, consisting of the reception area, Jim and Dwight’s desks, Stanley and Phyllis’s desks, the conference room, and Michael’s office – which can slide out to be displayed separately from the rest of the set, if you’d rather keep a smaller section on your shelf, much in the same way the sofa and chairs can be removed from 21319 Central Perk.

You’ll also find plenty of references to the US version of the show, from Kevin’s pot of chilli and Michael’s screenplay to Dwight’s hidden weapons and – of course – a stapler entombed in jelly. There’s even Jim’s teapot, letter and engagement ring, in case you want to recreate his proposal to Pam. (You’ll need to build your own petrol/gas station, though – and good luck with the rain.)

There’s plenty more to discover across 21336 The Office, from a Dundie trophy to the World’s Best Boss mug. You’ll be able to dig into all those references and more when the 44th Ideas set launches on October 1, 2022, at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
