It seems that enthusiasts and online users alike are fascinated with LEGOIdeas21349 Tuxedo Cat as the LEGO Group’s social media team had the best idea for a post promoting 21349 Tuxedo Cat yesterday, sharing an initial mysterious message before revealing that the curious feline was perched on their laptop.
21349 Tuxedo Cat didn’t happen to hop up on the laptop on its own, of course, but the joke has gone down surprisingly well with X (formerly Twitter) users, earning 11.4 million impressions, 409,000 likes and 35,700 retweets across both posts.
It’s safe to say that it’s one of the most well-received posts on the LEGO Group’s X account so far and the post has gone sufficiently viral, all the while promoting the new 21349 Tuxedo Cat. That might help explain why the set has sold out since launch in some regions and is currently on backorder worldwide.
