LEGO Ideas 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial revealed

Steven Spielberg’s beloved ’80s sci-fi classic gets the LEGO Ideas treatment, with 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial set to light up fans’ collections.

LEGO Ideas has today shone a light on the theme’s next brick-built creation, with the official reveal of 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Coming in at 1,226 pieces and priced at £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99, the model is based on a winning 10K submission from Richard Lemeiter (aka Lafabrick) that made the grade in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2025 and arrives on Earth on August 1, 2026.

Steven Spielberg’s iconic alien creation stands over 24cm tall and is 19cm wide, with the majority of the character’s wrinkled body comprised of medium nougat elements. 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial features a moveable head with opening mouth and printed blue eyes, poseable arms, hands, fingers, feet and toes, plus a trans-red element to represent the character’s healing digit and a brick-built flowerpot accessory.

The 78th LEGO Ideas model also features a removable front section that opens up to reveal the build’s internal structure and even includes a couple of fun Easter eggs in the shape of a red telephone piece and a recreation of E.T.’s spaceship.

In addition, 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial benefits from its very own light brick, which is activated by a switch on the alien’s back, causing a perfect red glow to emanate from the creature’s chest, simulating the character’s beating heart.

Nostalgic fans of the 1980s will be able to add 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to their collections when the LEGO Ideas set is released on August 1, priced at £119.99 in the UK, $139.99 in the US and €129.99 in Europe.
