LEGO Ideas ’90s challenge results both moved to tomorrow

The LEGO Ideas ’90s challenge result dates have been moved again, with both winners (and future sets) now due to be announced in 16 hours.

The latest turn in the rollercoaster that has been the LEGO Ideas ’90s IP challenge results is that the results date for The Next Chapter, the challenge with 200 to 1,000 piece submissions, now matches that of The Opening Act.

After the dates were originally moved to August 13 and June 25, respectively, both sets of results have been changed on the platform. The winner of each challenge will be revealed tomorrow, June 25. Specifically, LEGO Ideas’ challenge hub states that the winners will be revealed in 16 hours, but take that with a pinch of salt as the countdowns aren’t always accurate, except to the day.

The Opening Act was due to have its results announcement tomorrow since the last delay, but now The Next Chapter’s date has been moved to match the other ’90s challenge, instead of splitting the announcements as expected.

Provided these dates don’t move a third time, tomorrow we’ll know two more LEGO Ideas sets coming to shelves based on licensed IP. The finalists in The Opening Act consist of models based on The X-Files, The Fifth Element, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Edward Scissorhands and Jumanji.

The projects up for a chance at getting an official LEGO Ideas set in The Next Chapter include those based on Forrest Gump, Wallace & Gromit, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Mighty Ducks and Mr. Bean.

Stay tuned to see which two finalists are picked to be future LEGO Ideas sets, as the results are just around the corner.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
