New LEGO Ideas challenge launches for Halloween 2025

The spooky season is upon us, and LEGO Ideas is celebrating with a Halloween challenge and a huge prize package up for grabs.

With 21 hours remaining to enter the gaming avatar challenge, the LEGO Ideas team aren't eager to leave the platform with challenges to get involved in. They've just launched the When Midnight Strikes challenge, loosely tying into the recent Gremlins set and the Mogwai rules.

The brief for this challenge is to use physical or digital elements to build something spooky, eerie and all-around Halloween-themed. The rules for the challenge include the usual need to avoid any IP or IP-based minifigures, and this includes Gremlins, despite the name of the challenge. You also need to be the original creator of whatever you build, but entries built both digitally and physically are welcome.

You have until November 12 to submit your entries for this challenge, which comes with a great prize package. The grand prize includes 21362 Mineral Collection, 21361 Gizmo, 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine and 21359 Italian Riviera. there will be one winner selected from 13 submissions picked by the LEGO Ideas team for a fan vote, leaving the task of picking a winner to the community.

Everyone else who makes it to the fan vote will win 21361 Gizmo, taking home one of the latest LEGO Ideas releases. The fan vote will start on November 24 and the winner will be announced on December 11. Don't forget to enter the gaming avatar challenge within the next 21 hours, too.
