LEGO Ideas Golden Girls project rejected in parking lot

The LEGO Ideas parking lot has received a significant update today, approving one project, rejecting two and adding another to the lot.

The LEGO Ideas parking lot was started as an opportunity to give a select number of projects featured within it more time to be considered for an official set. Up until today, every submission in the parking lot was eventually approved. That has changed now, though.

While The Old Man & the Sea by Iyan Ha has been given the green light for a model, it was the only one of the four projects sitting in the parking lot to be approved.

Daft Punk Concert by RobotRock remains stoically in the parking lot, awaiting its time in the spotlight. The other two projects in the round haven’t been quite as lucky. As part of the second 2025 review results earlier today, it was confirmed that terauma’s Camping Trip and Martin_Studio’s Golden Girls submissions join the record number of projects rejected today.

Terauma commented on the decision on social media, thanking everyone for their support. The reason for not approving these two projects is unknown, but the parking lot was never intended to be a guarantee for a set, just more time for consideration.

This would leave just Daft Punk Concert alone in the parking lot, but DallasBricks’ Lunch Atop a Skyscraper has joined it as the current duo making up the parking lot. Whether these submissions will be approved for a set remains to be seen, but they at least have a chance.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
