LEGO Ideas and Minions can cross over in new 21336 The Office

An unexpected crossover between The Office and Minions is all too easy to recreate with the many LEGO Minions sets and 21336 The Office.

To promote the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, a recreation of the opening credits of The Office US featuring the familiar yellow characters and Gru from Despicable Me was released. It’s not a collaboration that we saw coming but you can see from the video below that it makes for a fun watch.

However, now that 21336 The Office has been officially revealed and the LEGO Group has a line of Minions models that were released well before the delayed arrival of their corresponding film, it offers a fun opportunity for an unexpected brick-built crossover.

When 21336 The Office launches on October 1, 2022, it’ll include more than enough floor space to pose all 15 of its minifigures, as well as references from the sitcom to spot. Many of these references also feature in the Minions opening credits video.

With this, you could embrace the crossover and combine the Minions LEGO minifigures with 21336 The Office, recreating the opening credits or imagining your own scenes featuring the yellow characters.

21336 The Office launches on October 1, 2022, for £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99 and the Minions models are currently available on the official online store.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
