LEGO Ideas’ new cat is cheaper than the first down under

Both of the LEGO Ideas cats are similar to one another, but Australian fans are going to have a much easier time picking one over the other.

As pre-orders for the new LEGO Ideas 21376 Orange Cat start, we’ve had plenty of chances to see exactly what is different between the two builds, as well as what has stayed the same. You can read our preview features for a full run-down, but ultimately, these two builds are exceedingly similar and are accordingly the same price worldwide.

That’s not wholly true, though. It turns out that one region has priced 21376 Orange Cat significantly lower than 21349 Tuxedo Cat. Australia’s official online store has 21376 Orange Cat priced and up for pre-order at $149.99. 21349 Tuxedo Cat is $169.99, for comparison.

As similar as these two sets are, a lower price is likely to help Australian enthusiasts determine what LEGO Ideas cat to buy. The price is not lower in any other region, to our knowledge, and it’s unusual to see a region deviate from the norm in this way.

Whether this price will be amended before release is unknown, but the LEGO Group has opened pre-orders in Australia, like most other regions. You can currently pick up 21376 Orange Cat for $20 less than 21349 Tuxedo Cat by pre-ordering the model now.
