LEGO Ideas opens up Activities to everyone

A new section of LEGO Ideas, Activities, is now opening up to everyone in its beta phase.

In February, LEGO Ideas launched Activities, initially only allowing a few invited users to take part in the beta development phase. Now it has been opened to everyone, meaning anyone with a LEGO user ID can check out the new creative outlet.

Activities are little build challenges that the LEGO Ideas team will set, that require less of a time investment than contests do. Some of the builds submitted may be used on LEGO social media channels, if that is an appealing claim to fame for fans.

The first activity saw users submitting photos of micro scale modular buildings, with over 100 builds shared by the community.

A new activity is launching to coincide with the opening up of the platform, for which the LEGO Ideas team are asking builders to get in the summer holiday spirit by building vacation essentials using LEGO bricks. It will only run for around seven days, so those look to participate should set some building time aside.
