LEGO Ideas second 2023 review gains affordable Alfa Romeo project

Another vintage car might be in the future of LEGO Ideas, should the latest project in the second 2023 review impress the judges.

Coming from Lego.Ozzy.Fan, their first submission to reach 10,000 supporters, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider has reached the second 2023 review round. It’s the fourth project to do so within the first two weeks of the phase.

The project proposes a 270-piece recreation of the Alfa Romeo vehicle, using around 80 more elements than 40448 Vintage Car with a minifigure and pieces with the Alfa Romeo logo.

The LEGO Ideas team have been more welcoming of more affordable models as of late, including 21340 Tales of the Space Age. However, that most recent set featured more than double the bricks of this project.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
