LEGO Ideas second 2025 review results: four new sets announced

The LEGO Group has revealed the results of the record-breaking second 2025 LEGO Ideas review, confirming four new sets that will be coming to shelves from the crowdsourcing platform.

A total of 146 submissions were in contention for the second 2025 review, blowing past previous records – but of those, only three have made the cut and will become an official product sold on LEGO Store shelves. Meanwhile, a project in the Parking Lot (where LEGO Ideas sets go to gestate when the review board needs more time to consider them) has also moved into production, for four new sets total.

Check out all the sets that have earned the green light this time round below. The results of the third 2025 review – which includes 75 fan-designed projects – are apparently ‘coming soon’, though based on previous years we’ll probably be waiting until July or August for those.

Edward Scissorhands – Castor-Troy

Castor-Troy’s Edward Scissorhands set brings yet another Tim Burton project to life in LEGO bricks, depicting the eponymous character’s home on a pretty grand scale. This build was originally submitted to the Ideas platform’s ‘90s challenge back in 2025, and while it lost out there it’s now enjoying a second lease of life through the regular LEGO Ideas pipeline.

Amsterdam Canal Houses – Brickmaster_85

Building on the success of 21359 Italian Riviera is Brickmaster_85’s Amsterdam Canal Houses, which serves up another slice of European life. This one crams a lot into its 2,600 or so pieces, from classic Dutch houses to a bike shop, café and even a small canal with boat. It’ll be interesting to see what the LEGO Ideas design team makes of this one.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Griswold House – twrt0es

Two National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation pitches are currently in contention in the third 2025 review, but twrt0es has pipped them to the post with this project based on the classic Xmas movie. The format is pretty similar to 21330 Home Alone, which is one of the oldest LEGO Ideas sets still on shelves, so it’s not hard to see why the LEGO Group has picked this one.

The Old Man and the Sea – Iyan ha

Finally, Iyan ha’s The Old Man and the Sea has moved out of the Parking Lot – where it’s been since the first 2025 review results were announced in October last year – and now has the green light from the LEGO Ideas review board to enter production. The eclectic build is a fantastic visual representation of Ernest Hemingway’s novel, featuring an oceanic scene bursting from the pages of an open book.

See how these results have affected the current LEGO Ideas pipeline in the tables below…

Chris Turner-Wharfe

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
