Just days after LEGO KPop Demon Hunters reached a LEGO Ideas review, a familiar animator has helped gain the director's seal of approval.
Earlier this week, a fan-submitted LEGO KPop Demon Hunters model reached the LEGO Ideas second 2025 review, giving it a chance at becoming a real set in the future. Just days later and LegoMe_TheOG, also known as the talented teenager behind several LEGO animations, including in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has finished up a LEGO recreation of the movie's opening moments.
It didn't take long for the Netflix movie's director, Maggie Kang to notice the animation, giving her support for a LEGO iteration of KPop Demon Hunters, specifically as a LEGO game.
While a LEGO KPop Demon Hunters game is not currently on the horizon, the LEGO Group has an opportunity to capitalise on the Netflix movie's success thanks to the LEGO Ideas project that reached the review stage earlier this week.
Netflix wants the hit animated movie to be its Frozen equivalent, and Sony is in talks about developing a sequel, according to Forbes. The LEGO Group's partnership with Netflix has gone from strength to strength recently, expanding with LEGO Wednesday and LEGO One Piece, and a new Stranger Things set was recently confirmed, too.
For now, LEGO KPop Demon Hunters is just a dream of many fans, including the director. The animation recreation proves the potential of LEGO KPop Demon Hunters in some form, at least.
