As we near the reveal of the LEGO Group and Lofi Girl’s partnership, the two have a history dating back potentially half a decade.
A teaser shared previously has confirmed that a collaboration between the LEGO Group and the Lofi Girl brand is coming soon with more information to be shared on September 19.
While nothing more has been confirmed in the days leading up to that date, it’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time that the LEGO Group has crossed paths with Lofi Girl, though the last time was more unofficial.
In LEGO Monkie Kid 80022 Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base, a sticker references the Lofi Girl YouTube videos.
Easter eggs in LEGO sets are common and while some tease future projects, this model’s release in 2021 and its development in the years before likely precede any discussions of the upcoming partnership. That is unless it has taken up to five years to come to fruition.
Still, it’s interesting to see how things can come full circle in the LEGO Group as they are rumoured to with Animal Crossing in 2024 following another unofficial crossover.
