LEGO Luigi launches alongside double points on Super Mario sets

LEGO Luigi has finally arrived in the world of Super Mario, and to celebrate the LEGO Group is offering double VIP points on a selection of expansion sets.

For a limited time, VIP members can now earn twice the usual amount of points on two LEGO Super Mario models as part of the monthly routine on the official online store. The duo includes options for budgets of various sizes, starting with the smaller 71389 Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set.

71389 Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set includes the titular character at centre stage with a new obstacle for the LEGO Super Mario Bros to overcome as a cloud-covered spinner must be operated by two players to knock out the airborne enemy. Those with an interest in the franchise’s recognisable foes will also be pleased to know that this build features the latest appearance of Bullet Bill since its debut in 71361 Character Packs.

The other offered Super Mario model is 71390 Reznor Knockdown Expansion Set, which features an enemy that rarely appears in the games and appears for the first time brick-built here. Two Reznors are included along with Grrrol and a blue variant of Toad – the classic citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Until August 31 71389 Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set will earn you 560 points and 71390 Reznor Knockdown Expansion Set will come with a total of 1040 VIP credit.
