LEGO is giving away Micro NINJAGO City Gardens with a tiny qualifying spend

Black Friday and Cyber Monday may be over, but the LEGO Group has one more gift-with-purchase for UK and US shoppers with any budget left – and you only need to spend £20 to get it.

40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens is currently being added to LEGO.com baskets in the UK and US when spending at least £20 or $20, which is the lowest gift-with-purchase threshold we’ve seen for a very long time at the official online store. And given the former Insiders reward includes 376 pieces, it’s a very healthy return for such a small spend.

Spend £20/$20 at LEGO.com to receive 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens free of charge.

40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens was originally available for 2,300 points in the Insiders Rewards Centre alongside 40706 Micro NINJAGO City Markets, 40704 Micro NINJAGO City Docks and 40703 Micro NINJAGO City. The LEGO Group later discounted them to 1,800 points each, before bundling them together in a single reward for 5,400 points.

The LEGO Group clearly misjudged demand wildly on these sets, however, as selected Insiders members were then emailed codes to claim one of the four sets at random for free with any order. And now it’s giving away 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens with a tiny spend at LEGO.com.

In fact, the 2,300 points originally required to redeem it in the Insiders Rewards Centre was equivalent to just shy of £15 to spend online, or only slightly under the £20/$20 GWP threshold to now get it for free. And while you might have bought most of the bigger sets you were after during LEGO Insiders Weekend or Black Friday, don’t forget that there’s a new Pick a Brick update to sink your teeth into – perfect for a slightly smaller order…

Head over to LEGO.com and spend £20 / $20 to receive 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens while stocks last.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

I guess it was in general EU as well, as I unexpectedly got it on my recent GWP order in Sweden to be posted soon.

The GWP order itself might take some time, now, during Christmas seson, though…

It’s still on in the US market. I just added a new order from the last bits of my 2025 retirees wish list for the Gazebo offer ($150+) and the NINJAGO is still there along with the Maze. The Maze kicks in at the $150 level, and is also a “quiet” bonus. Makes me wonder if the Maze was also available starting on December 2 too.

Lego has been very quiet about this one. No banner, no listing on the Offers page, no email. If it wasn’t for this announcement,I wouldn’t have had a clue. I ordered a couple of small items that I was holding off on until the Winter Gazebo is released.

Does anyone know if they are doing this offer in-store as well?

I don’t think so, most of these rewards tend to be online-only.
