LEGO Minecraft 2019 sets launch today
Five new LEGO Minecraft sets are available now, including a new selection of buildable figures.
As well as two new regular sets, 21151 The End Battle and 21152 Pirate Ship, three new buildable figure sets – first rumoured at Brick Fanatics – are also released in the LEGO Minecraft theme today. 21148 Steve with Parrot, 21149 Alex with Chicken and 21150 Skeleton with Magma Cube are all part of a new style of set.
The following new sets are available now at shop.LEGO.com:
21148 Steve with Parrot
21149 Alex with Chicken
21150 Skeleton with Magma Cube
21151 The End Battle
21152 Pirate Ship
21130 The Nether Railway is reduced from £39.99 to £27.99, as the set is soon to be retired.
The first Minecraft set was launched in 2012, when fans rallied on LEGO Ideas to get 21102 Minecraft Micro World: The Forest to be the first project on the platform to achieve 10,000 votes. Since then, Minecraft has become a smash hit with children, increasing its grip on the gaming world for the younger market.
The January 1 launches follow a whole host of new sets that were released on Boxing Day, including The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, City, Friends and Technic.
